Back in the studio…
Hey guys!
Sorry for the delay in between posts, things have been getting busy. I went back in to the studio last week to cut four more songs, bringing me to nine, and will be cutting the last four in the near future. It’s turning out so well, I’m really proud of this record and it’s not even finished yet!
I’m sure you’re wondering when it’s going to come out. There was talk of getting a single out this year, but the label and I really want the chance to set things up properly, so it’s still looking like the first of the year for the single (which is actually the best time for a “new” artist to release a single) and the record following sometime after. The great news is, WB couldn’t be happier and we’re really getting the ball rolling! I’m doing the photoshoot for the record in early October.
My fabulous pal Weiser got to be with me in the studio for this round, which was awesome to have my friend there, plus spend some quality time with her besides a rushed lunch before a show. She was snapping photos the whole time, so maybe we’ll get a couple posted for you to see.
There has also been video for most studio stuff, but I think at this point the label is saving it for something special, so I can’t promise anymore clips. I know there’s not much tangible for you guys to see/hear right now, but please stick with me. This record is the one I have dreamed about since I was an 8 year old singing Reba McEntire songs and hoping one day I would get to be a country singer. (Have I said that yet? I’m too tired to remember )
It’s been a long and winding road, but I’m here! Hope everyone is well, hope anyone in Louisiana is evacuated, and I will do my best to post more often!

PS If some photos do happen to make their way on here, you’ll notice that my hair is darker than the last time you saw photo/video. Yes, this is my fifth hair color in 4 years. No, it was not my doing. It’s laughable at this point, so I put it in the hands of others, and I’m happy with where I’m at. So much easier to take care of. I should really make a hair poll on the boards.
